We are Greenwich Morris!

From left to right: Chris, Mike, Duncan, Adam, Colin (Squire), Nigel, Paul, Julian (Bagman), Topo, Marty, Alan, Christine and Ged.

We dance traditional Morris dances mainly from the Cotswold area to the accompaniment of concertinas, melodeons and accordions.

We are based in Greenwich but we regularly dance further afield, sometimes even abroad.

We dance all year round, with a Summer and a Winter season. During the Summer season we can be found out and about dancing outside pubs, hotels or at various festivals. We've danced at some weird and wonderful places, including inner city farms whilst being watched by goats! We regularly join other Morris sides at their events too, and quite often invite them to ours.

One of the highlights of our year is "Dancing up the Sun" on Blackheath. We do this every first of May at 5am. It's a ritual performed worldwide as the sunrise travels across the globe, which makes it kind of special!

Check out our Watch Us page to see where we are going to be in the coming months.

If you're holding an event that you'd like us to dance at then do please get in touch.

We rehearse all year round but more so in the Winter season, as we have fewer dance outs. Rehearsals take place at Mycenae House, Blackheath, SE3 7SE on Thursday evenings at 8pm. We meet in the bar, dance for 60-90mins and then head back to the bar for a well earned beer.

If you fancy trying Morris or just want to come and see us in action then please get in touch, it would be great to see you! Anytime of year is good to start learning, as is any time of life - you're never too old to learn Morris! No experience is required and we'll be very gentle with you! Click here for contact details.
